If you are offering a household service, please read on.
Are you having difficulty marketing your skills and/or attracting the right clients for your company?
There is a lot wrong in most of the service ads due to inadequate detail (or way too much detail), writing mistakes, misspellings, etc. It is generally understood that such in the way of communication is not what the service provider is offering. But, It IS! Women are great communicators and we TALK to potential buyers all the time. This is why advertisers love them!!
To help you communicate the right image, I would like to offer copy editing for the servicing community - independent (and second language) contractors, particularly. If the work is Great, the listing should be, too! 😊
Why bother? Yes, I know you’re wondering. The reason is simple:
Many in the community are looking for the services you provide (we know because we TALK to one another about home improvement needs). Local contractors are too busy for less complex (smaller) jobs. We are unskilled homeowners wanting to hire Good help (handymen, hourly skilled laborers) and frankly there are amazingly limited options outside of the big cities (D.C., Baltimore, Frederick, Pittsburgh). In a nutshell, IF you travel OUTSIDE of these areas your ad should specify the locations, along with any additional travel costs (you might be surprised what a trip could do for you). Lol
Keep in mind that radius searches may be well outside of the service area you want to reach. So Just Spell It Out!! That way, you’re not getting unwanted calls or messages And can focus on what you do! A no obligation post review is within reach, and an extra pair of eyes may be just what your service needs.
