EX/EX, Johnny Cash, The World of Johnny Cash, 12"LPs, Stereo, 1970, Columbia-66237, UK, are "20 All-Time Great Recordings in One Great Package." They are both 1st Editions, a True authentic First Pressing, made by Columbia/CBS Records Company, Pressed in the London, England, and both albums are absolutely Pristine. We purchased them new and always kept both in a climate controlled, smoke-free environment and were handled and played by only knowledgeable, mature, and careful individuals.
"The World of Johnny Cash is the 34th studio album released by country singer Johnny Cash on Columbia Records in 1970 (see 1970 in music). It contains some of Cash's minor hits, as well as several songs that were never released as singles. The album reached No. 2 on the Country charts. It was certified Gold on 1/23/1971 by the R.I.A.A."
The distinctive orange-red CBS labels are in absolutely pristine condition with the base color extending into the unworn spindle hole and the black typing still perfectly crisp and readable in Mint condition.
The vinyl is just pristine and gleams like a brand new album and the stereo sound quality is as clear as a bell. These LPs both play through all the tracks with a perfect sound quality: no pops, sticking, jumps, but with some slightly detectable crackle on headphones but not on my stereo speakers, from the same turntable source. The sound quality is simply Superb with no distortion and no groove wear, with only superb, clear and precise audio. It comes in its original plain white inner sleeve.
The original, E.J.Day Group dual-hinged covers are still in EX, lustrous and intact condition, with songs listing on the front and Johnny Cash albums advertisement inside. Both sides are in great condition with no spinal wear, rips, tears, splits, or other blemishes, besides some very minor vinyl bulge but no rubbing, but both covers are still very flat looking. The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely any feathering. All of the corners show normal shelf-wear and there is an original price tag on the front cover.
I also have another 4 other vintage Johnny Cash LPs; "Johnny Cash at San Quentin", "Blood, Sweat and Tears", "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash", and "Original Golden Hits Volume II" up for sale, as shown in the last 2 photos, if you're also interested in any of them it would save shipping cost by combining the purchases. I use special made, secure record mailers and always ship vinyl outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits.
