Dell Optiplex GX270, P4 2.8 Ghz CPU, 1 Gig RAM, with 40 Gig Internal IDE Drive, plus 60 Gig Western Digital Passport External Hard Drive, Two keyboards, and very recently purchased HP LaserJet P1006 (Less than 50 pages printed).
Includes restore CD for Windows Professional XP with SP2, and Dell drivers CD plus Nero and Power DVD software. On the C Drive is also the following software, but without backup DVDs: MS Office 2003 student edition, and MS Digital Image processing software.
This computer utilizes Dell’s “Hyperthreading Technology”. This is cable internet ready. $175.00/offer. The computer is located in Falling Waters, WV 25419. I bought this a few months ago from a MS certified technician with the idea I would keep it as a backup in case I had a hard time with Vista which is on the new machine I got. Vista has turned out ok for me, so now I am willing to let the Dell go to a good home. You are getting a great deal on this since I bought it for close to $300.00 just a few months ago, and I am including the Very nearly unused HP LaserJet and the Western Digital 60 gig Passport external Hard Drive.
If you are looking for a sleek, slender, petite profile with a small footprint this is not for you. If you want a very heavy duty, built like a tank, rock solid computer then this is a good choice.
Please NOTE: This computer was in a corporate environment which used cable internet I think. Therefore there is no internal modem to use if you have a dial up internet connection. Also, there is not a monitor with this.
The extra keyboard, mouse, is a wireless Gearhead. I have not used it and think the batteries may need to be replaced.
Also: There is a second internal IDE drive (40 gigs) and Vista Home Basic, but can't be sure they are working right since I was not able to set it up as a dual boot system. Making no claims on this part of it, but if you are a little more technologically adept than I am, it may be a nice extra for you.
