We're looking for a drummer to play blues and old time rock 'n roll mainly during weekday hours with a couple of older guys in their 50s who work nights.
We are a guitarist/singer and bassist who have played together for years with a drum machine but haven't played gigs because we can't find a qualified drummer who can practice during the day. We practice once or twice a week during the day in the Clear Spring area. We do originals and covers such as BB King, Stevie Ray, Clapton, blues standards etc.
We are very serious about forming a musically tight band, but because of our work schedules we won't be able to play out much except maybe an occasional Sunday evening at a nice bar or restaurant or a daytime gig in the park.
Absolutely no drugs or alcohol allowed during band functions.

O.k., I figured I'd take a shot at this. Fellow rockers/funker/bluesers/metalers, I'm taking a shot in the dark (great Ozzy tune). Kaaaaay, here's the formula:
Cover band that doesn't compromise, because cover list defines the band (Kid Rock,Def Leppard,Rod Stewart,Kiss, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, Godsmack,AC/DC, Buck Cherry,Zepplin,Nickleback,STP,Wolfmother,Zombie,Disturbed,The Temptations,CCR......if it rocks,reeks of sex and partying or has catchy choruses and "rocks". If the cover band sings about "My life sucks" "I'm a Loser" or the members sound like castrated men, this is NOT done by the band)
Also original songs incorporated into set list over a period of time to reflect the bands focus. http://www.myspace.com/mercyjudgement is my page with some of my songs I wrote and sang. You get the gist.
Attitude on stage, professionalism off. no drugs during practice, no getting drunk during practice and definately, DEFINATELY NO EGO'S!
