We are accepting applications from local artists, craftpersons, for display and sale in a new holiday store @ 120 N. East Street (Shab Row) Frederick MD. Consignment timeframe is Nov and Dec of 2009 only – no placement fee, rather a commisson based on your sales.

In particular, I am looking for the following:
-hostess gifts, stocking stuffers
-Holiday decorative items. Does anyone make those square glass packages with ribbons and lights inside?
-Recycled items such as things repurposed and given a new life (example tote bags crafted from recycled plastic grocery bags.
-pens
-wooden bowls
-kids toys
-puzzles
-***Mens's gifts
-Food items have to be Maryland approved and sealed
-local artists such as jazz, easy listening with cds for sale
..sorry no jewelry, pottery, photography, painted glass, wreaths or knitted items.
Items that sell the best are those that are moderately priced, show good value, and are gift ready. In other words, boxed or bagged with ribbon and have proper signage that describes details, etc about how the item was made or what it can be used for.

If you are interested in participating as a consignor, pls send the following information to (pat@valleypromos.com)
-You name and contact information (phn, address, email, etc)
-Type of consignment item (pictures if available)
-If you are interested and able to participate in "vendor" activities that might involve discussion your consignments and talent with shoppers, and or give demonstrations, etc
-Would you consider working on a part time basis to help promote your product in the store. We have found artist participation increases the sales of their work.
-If you have display tables or cabinets for your display or if we need to provide them. We make every attempt to protect your consignments but if you have small items or something that can break easily, it might be a good idea to provide a locking case, etc.
You email will be acknowledged upon receipt. If you do not receive an acknowledgement in 48 hrs, please send a follow up email. All submissions will be evaluated on a number of different levels. Including the potential resale value and current items we have in the store. We ask you price your items and provide an inventory sheet.
